Mohit Lakhmani a Diploma holder in 3d Animation & Visual Effects, from MAAC Mumbai has proved that creativity never ends. He has made Paper Miniature Model which is an inspiration for the young talents.

Mohit has started his career as a CG Artist with GEON STUDIO [Sahar India Pariwar] & then his career graph reached heights with Powermation & Picasso Animation College as a CG Artist & Trainer. As a person he believe in exploring every little idea related to Arts and Crafts that hits his senses. Working with various studios, He has gained enormous knowledge and learned a variety of Art Forms.
1. What was the Idea behind paper miniature model & how did You proceed with it.
One of our reporter interviewed Mr. Mohit Lakhmani,  regarding his Paper Miniature Model. Here is excerpt from the interview:
The idea was to make a miniature model with less cost and using a single material. Initially, I made a 3d model of this paper miniature art and then executed it by building small parts of the building to get an idea on the ratio of other parts. Also I studied in depth about molding a paper in various shapes.

2. What are the challenges you have faced in such a gigantic Craft Art?
The main challenge was to hold the tangible model & keep it clean. The model was made in 36 hours in small shifts over a period of 10 days. Hence, I had to put it in a clean place free of dust after working on it every time.

3. What are the Works you have done as an artist and what are the achievements?
As an artist I have done many projects in 3D and Graphics. Iíve done couple of 3d & Graphic oriented projects with working on miniature models, Single paper cut and fold flip models and made many cardboard and paper lamps. Iíve been chosen as a National finalist for Red Bull Paper Wing Competition.
Its international level competition, where we have to make paper plain applying scientific aerodynamics knowledge. There were three categories in which plan can be made - longest distance, highest time in air and Aerobatics.
I was the finniest on Aerobatics, where we have to design plain which can do some different movements like twist, roll, spin etc
For more detail you can check my article on this link http://www.deccanherald.com/content/230525/flying-high-sheet-paper.html

4. What inspire you for your this creation?
There is extensive use of miniature models in Hollywood movies but that costs a lot & so I always had an urge to recreate something similar but, with lesser cost.

5. What motivates You?
Motivation comes from everything that is around me, this world is full of interesting factors which we can absorb to enhance our creativity. I like to learn new things every day. My passion for art and craft drives me to explore newer things and make myself more open to experimenting.

6. What you want to do next? Is something similar to this model again.
A complete street view of the Venice City is my upcoming miniature model. This model is going to be different in terms of its look and feel. Iím planning to color this model and chroma shoot it & create something exotic by compiling the miniature Venice city with real life environment.
